One of the more established members of the recent crop of exciting young British designers, Christopher Kane has cemented his fashion hero status through his highly anticipated collections for his eponymous label, his consultancy work with Versace, and designs for the younger ‘Versus’ label, and his ongoing jewellery creations for Atelier Swarovski.
Kane’s first collection of tight-fitting neon bandage dresses were internationally lauded and noted as a major influence leading the ‘fluoro’ trend for Summer 2007. The multi-award winning Scottish designer famously runs his business with his sister, Tammy Kane, who is responsible for the label’s finances.
Central Saint Martins graduate Christopher Kane was the first to be named as an Atelier Swarovski designer. The most famous and iconic of Kane’s creations for the luxury jewellers are the crystal mesh tube ‘Bolster’ pieces, which have developed and taken on new forms throughout his seasonal collections.
